I have always condemned negotiations with the United States.
I state explicitly that I have always opposed the policy of compromise. I also make it clear that I have never participated in any discussion or negotiation that involved making concessions to the United States or receiving concessions from it. If there has been any negotiation in which others have participated and attempted to steer it in that direction, I have prevented it.
Therefore, I have always condemned the policy of compromise, even in its so-called pragmatic form, and I have always opposed negotiations that aim at gaining the support of the enemy. I firmly believe that the infiltration of such a mindset into the leadership and administration of the Iranian Revolution poses serious risks, and it must be stopped.
